  3. An Alternative Concepts Network
  4.  
  5.      This network is dedicated to those who are presently trying to
  6. discover their spiritual path in life, as well as learn more about the
  7. path they follow and the other paths that are out there.  However, the
  8. network will not support the teachings of, or the followers of,
  9. Satanism.
  10.  
  11.      This network is concieved in the idea that its control will be
  12. placed not only in the hands of the Network Coordinators, Hubs, and
  13. Moderators, but in the hands of the SysOps and Users as well.  The
  14. idea behind this theory is not to let any certain person in this
  15. network get so powerful that they loose sight of the issue which is
  16. the sharing and studying of those paths or teachings covered by this
  17. network.

  19. NETWORK COORDINATOR:  Mark Stilwell / Stryder / StarCastle BBS

  22.      StarCastle BBS has been in existance since March of 1993, and
  23. joined the Echomail networks in June of 1993.  Being a seekers of
  24. their spiritual path, the SysOp and CoSysOp of StarCastle felt a need
  25. for a network which was more friendly to newcomers and more attuned to
  26. dealing with the numerous people that wander into the Alternative
  27. Concept or Pagan Echoes.

  29. REGIONAL COORDINATORS:
  30. -----------------------

  32.      Regional Coordinators will be established for each state that
  33. comes into the network, as well as any providences in Canada or
  34. individual countries that may enter this network.  Additional Regional
  35. Hubs may be established as deemed necessary in the future
  36.  
  37. NETWORK ECHO COORDINATORS:  (HUBS)
  38. ----------------------------------
  39.  
  40.      A hub will be establish, if possible, in each city of which a
  41. network feed is present.  This person will be responsible for feeding
  42. the network to those systems of which join the network in or around
  43. that city.
  44.  
  45. GENERAL NETWORK RULES:
  46. ----------------------
  47.  
  48.      These rules are subject to revision by vote of the network
  49. members.  As these rules are revised, they will be added, changed, or
  50. deleted from this textfile, as well as posted in the Network
  51. Administrative Echo (ALT_ADMIN).
  52.  
  53. 1.   All System which are a part of this network will carry all the
  54. required echoes, making them available to all who are qualified for
  55. access under the rules of that echo.  This will be the HUBS
  56. responsibility to insure that the echo is fed to the network systems.
  57.  
  58. 2.   With the exception of those echoes that may be considered ADULT
  59. AREAS inside the network, each individual SysOp will be free to
  60. establish their own policy concerning the minimum access age for the
  61. echoes carried by this network.  Those areas of which are considered
  62. adult in nature are to be set at the minimum acceptable age allowed
  63. under the applicable city, county, state, country, or other related
  64. ordinances, or 18 years of age, which ever is higher.
  65.  
  66. 3.   Each SysOp will be responsible for complying with any orders
  67. passed down by the network concerning the access of a user who has
  68. been determined as offensive or unsuitable under the Network or
  69. individual message area rules.
  70.  
  71. 4.   The SysOps of this network can be required by the Network
  72. Coordinator, if so determined necessary by the members of this
  73. network, to provide User information on anyone who has been banned or
  74. suspended from the network.  This is to prevent them from entering the
  75. network through another system.
  76.  
  77. 5.   All systems are required to poll their feeds at least once every
  78. three days.  This will assure that the message traffic gets moved at a
  79. reasonable pace, but will not break those who are calling long
  80. distance.

  82. 6.   Any system of which is found to be offline, or does not pick up
  83. thier mail within 7 days will be determined as being down.  The
  84. Regional Coordinators or the Network Coordinator will contact the
  85. system to determine if there is a problem.  If the system cannot be
  86. contacted, it will be removed from the network.
  87.  
  88. 7.   The Use of Obscene Language, or insinuations is not allowed on
  89. this network unless otherwise stated inside the rules of an individual
  90. message area.
  91.  
  92. 8.   The harassment of any member of this network, be it an Officer, a
  93. SysOp or a User, will not be tolerated on this network.  If the user
  94. cannot interact reasonably with the others of this network, they are
  95. not wanted on this network.
